Day 1

Day 1: Route of the Sun

Your day begins with a tourist bus journey from Cusco to Puno, with the first stop at the temple of Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its baroque decorations and Cusqueña School murals.
You will then continue to the archaeological complex of Raqchi, home to the majestic Temple of Wiracocha—an impressive structure nearly 92 meters long that showcases the greatness of Inca engineering.
Afterward, you will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring local cuisine before heading to La Raya Pass, the natural border between Cusco and Puno. The final visit is the Pukara Lithic Museum, where you’ll explore pre-Inca symbolism and art, before arriving in Puno in the late afternoon.
