Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Chivay

We begin our journey to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking in the views at the foot of the snow-capped Chachani and the Cañahuas plains, home to vicuñas. In the Tocra wetlands, we can spot migratory birds, including flamingos. We’ll stop at the crater of the Chucura volcano and at the viewpoint of the volcanoes, located at 4,910 meters above sea level, where we can appreciate much of the western mountain range.
We arrive in Chivay, where there’s an optional visit to the thermal baths. You’ll have the afternoon free to enjoy your hotel’s amenities.

Day 2

Day 2: Colca Canyon

We start the day by continuing our journey, making an initial stop in the charming village of Yanque. Then, we head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, a strategic spot for observing the canyon and the majestic flight of the condor. After enjoying the views, we return, stopping in the village of Maca, which features a beautiful colonial church, as well as at the viewpoints of Achoma and Antahuilque, where we admire the impressive terracing of the valley.
We return to Chivay for lunch and then begin our journey back to the city of Arequipa.
