Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Iquitos – Ceiba Tops

Our journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport and a brief orientation about the city as we head to the Explorama dock. We will take a boat ride along the Amazon River, traveling 40 kilometers downstream to reach Ceiba Tops. Here, each room features air conditioning and a private bathroom with hot water, all surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens.
In the afternoon, we will take a walk through a primary rainforest, admiring imposing trees like the Ceiba, which gives the lodge its name. After dinner, you can enjoy local music at the “El Tucán” Bar or take a night walk to observe caimans and other wildlife.

Day 2

Day 2: Iquitos – Ceiba Tops

We will start the day with an excursion for those interested in birdwatching. After breakfast, we will head by boat to the native Yagua community, where we will have the opportunity to appreciate local crafts and see a demonstration of blowgun use, still employed by some community members for hunting. On the way back to the lodge, we may spot pink and gray dolphins.
In the afternoon, we will visit the riverside town of Indiana, and if the weather permits, we will enjoy the sunset over the Amazon River.

Day 3

Day 3: End of the adventure

We will take an excursion, either by walking or by boat, to further explore the Amazon rainforest, or we will have free time to enjoy the lodge’s facilities. Finally, we will return to Iquitos to catch our flight to Lima.
