Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Uyuni Salt Flats

The tour begins with a transfer from your hotel to El Alto Airport for your flight to Uyuni. Upon arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport or bus station, depending on your arrival point. From there, we head to the Train Cemetery, one of the region’s most iconic landmarks, where we will explore the remains of old trains that once traveled across the area.
Next, we proceed to the village of Colchani, where we visit a local artisanal salt processing plant and learn about the process of extracting and processing salt from the Salar de Uyuni.
Afterward, we venture into the vast and stunning Salar de Uyuni, a salt desert so immense it seems endless. Here, we will enjoy lunch in the middle of the salt flat, surrounded by this unique landscape.
Then, we head to Isla Incahuasi, located in the heart of the salt flat, famous for its towering cacti. We take a walk around the island, enjoying the scenery and learning more about its geology and biodiversity.
Afterward, we make a brief stop in the nearby village of Coquesa. In the late afternoon, we head to the edge of the salar to experience an incredible sunset—an unforgettable moment.
Finally, we return to Uyuni, where our full-day experience concludes.
