Description

The Uyuni Salt Flats, a vast white desert stretching to the horizon, creates a surreal atmosphere found nowhere else in the world. Throughout the journey, you’ll discover crumbling old trains, communities living in harmony with the salt flat, and a landscape so unique that it will make you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world.

Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Uyuni Salt Flats

The tour begins with a transfer from your hotel to El Alto Airport for your flight to Uyuni. Upon arrival, one of our representatives will welcome you at the airport or bus terminal, depending on your mode of travel. From there, we head to the Train Cemetery, one of the area’s main attractions, where we’ll explore the remains of old trains. Next, we continue to the village of Colchani, where we visit a traditional salt processing plant and the Salt Museum.
Afterward, we venture into the Uyuni salt flats, a salt desert so vast that the horizon seems to vanish into a natural mirror. Here, we’ll enjoy lunch right in the middle of the salt flats. Following lunch, we take a walk around the area, perfect for capturing photos of the surreal landscape.
In the late afternoon, we head to Tahua, where we’ll experience a breathtaking sunset before enjoying dinner and resting at the hotel.

Day 2

Day 2: Coquesa

After breakfast, we head to the Chiquini Caves and the village of Coquesa, where we can view the mummies found in the region.
We then ascend to a viewpoint on the slopes of the Thunupa Volcano, where we’ll have a panoramic view of the Salar de Uyuni.
After lunch on the way, we return to Uyuni, where our experience comes to an end.
